The Challenge -
The Marketing team has voiced out that their marketing strategy to gain sponsorship and ticket sales did not fall into place as most corporate companies and local public has a negative perspective regarding the ‘purpose’ of the concert. They felt that a humanitarian activity and entertainment industry can’t be mixed. The purpose of producing the fundraising concert named “Ku Mohon Tuhan Berikan ku Cinta” is actually as a 10th anniversary celebration for the establishment of Islamic Relief Malaysia, as well as to collect funds for their worldwide humanitarian causes. Many international artist was involved with the concert, such as Humood Alkhuder, Zain Bhika, Ebiet G. Ade and many more.
An ‘Oral Art’ Concept -
Our team was given a task to present a solution in aiding the marketing team. So we come out with the ‘Spoken Word’ as the concept for the online video marketing. ‘Spoken Word’ is a new trend for the younger generations. It’s an oral art that focuses on the aesthetics of word play and intonation and voice inflection. It is a 'catchall' that includes any kind of poetry recited aloud, including hip-hop, jazz poetry, poetry slams, traditional poetry readings and can include comedy routines and 'prose monologues'. Our team has made a few adjustment from the original concept to instill Islamic contexts and gave it a positive humanitarian perspective. Alhamdulillah, the video which starred by Altimet, Irma Hasmie and Raihan went viral with 140k views within 2 weeks. We received many positive feedbacks and most importanly, we have managed to help the marketing team in boosting their ticket sales and sponsorship.
"Creatively spoken word, I got goosebumps after watching this video".
